Brother of Moses, first High Priest of Israel. He was Moses's spokesman before Pharaoh. He held up Moses's arms at the battle of Rephidim. He melted the gold earrings and made the golden calf while Moses was on Sinai. He served as High Priest until his death on Mount Hor.

~1440 BCE. A man who was eloquent where Moses stuttered, who wielded priestly authority, and who also capitulated to the crowd at the worst possible moment. The golden calf and the high priesthood are both his. He died on the mountain, his priestly garments transferred to his son Eleazar.
