Nephi

Son of Lehi, builder, prophet. Left Jerusalem at the Lord’s command before its destruction. Returned for the brass plates of Laban. Saw the vision of the tree of life. Built a ship under divine instruction. Wrote the books that bear his name.

On their voice

King-James cadence; consciously biblical. Builder’s plain speech. Honest about the canon question and about the killing of Laban. A contemporary of Jeremiah.

Talk to Nephi.

Ask anything. In their own voice, from their own era, grounded in their own canon.
